Well I have been in India more than a week now and I have to say that I have found it to be quiet stimulating to find a changing land open for business and embracing change.
Is India becoming the Dubai of the Indian subcontinent - it's difficult to tell, but it certainly is trying hard. Here in New Delhi parts of it have changed so much that I don't recognise it from the last time I was here. Yes I is still a land of massive contrast from the new build environment and IT based economy to the squaller of the slums and the simple villages; the stark contrast in wealth and class still seems to the thing keeping the balance here and I guess that it will always be so.
The 'new' New Delhi - modern and clean(er)
Has India lost it's charm? Maybe it has, but the change means that India is very much open for business and should be embraced by any business that can trade services and good sworn her. It's my last day here today and I will be winging my way back to the UK tomorrow morning. I have enjoyed the place and the business - and found some excellent food, clean and vibrant. I will be back in few months and look forward to that. Any business contemplating doing business with India should do so with their eyes open, it's still difficult but getting easier day by day. My recommendation (and yes I do have a vested interest in) would be to talk with a knowledgeable person about how to go about doing business here. I am alway open to exploring those discussions and would be happy to help.
